Home For The Night

 

ADMITTANCE QUALIFICATIONS

To be admitted to the Home for the Night shelter, the applicants have to meet the following qualifications:

– not on the sex offender registry 
– not a violent offender

ADMITTANCE PROCESS

– To be admitted to the shelter the individual will need to check in at the Center Township Trustees office between 9 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday. They will ask for Nikki Campbell who is this Shelter Coordinator. Nikki will check individuals in on Friday for the weekend.

– During this intake they will be given the policies and procedures of the shelter and be asked if they will comply during their stay. If they agree, they will have to sign an agreement and privacy policy.

– The shelter will be open from 7 pm to 7 am. The individual must come to the shelter no later than 8 pm. If they come after 8 pm they will not be admitted. Nikki will then meet with them from 7 am to 9 am the next morning to go over the wrap around services that will be best for their situation. They will also meet with a navigator from Healthy Communities during this time.

– The individuals will need to check in at our office every day to secure a bed for the night. This is to confirm they are following through with their wrap around service obligations. If they are not, they will not be able to stay the next night.
